Is Karim Benzema worth a $1.2 million transfer?
The former Manchester United forward has spent the last year on loan at Manchester City, having been snapped up by City in a deal worth around $1 million per week.
That was reportedly paid in January, when Benzema signed a new deal with the Premier League side.
If Benzema decides to sign for another club, it’s possible he could earn around $2 million per month, according to ESPN FC.
The deal could end up paying Benzema a salary of around $3 million per year.
He would also be set to earn more than a million if he plays in Europe this season.
He’s also a free agent after this season, so he could easily earn a large transfer fee.
He will be eligible to make around $60,000 per game, but that number could increase if he earns a lot of international appearances.
Benzema scored 22 goals in all competitions last season, while also managing 10 assists.
He could potentially earn around half of that amount, as he’ll be a crucial piece for City this season if they are to challenge for a Champions League spot.
