Australia has been added to the list of countries where soccer training classes are being offered for free, with the Sydney FC Soccer Academy offering a free session on Saturday to all current and former players aged 18 and over.
It was announced by the Sydney Football Association on Thursday, with a video of the session featuring former players including Willy Caballero, Sam Vokes and Dan Smith posted online.
“You’ll be able to train in a relaxed environment and get a lot of experience, not just from playing,” the video said.
“The session will teach you how to work in groups and the right approach to tactics and technique.
You’ll be getting all of this in just a couple of hours.”
The Sydney FC Academy was founded in 2014 and offers a range of sports training for up to 20 participants.
It is the latest in a string of training facilities and camps set up in Australia, including in Melbourne and Canberra, in recent years.
